I swear these months fly by so fast! Louis continues to grow and meet his milestones. He is now picking up his head well in prone, and has better head control when you give him support. Louis is also enjoying the bumbo seat more, and the jumperoo.
My most favorite thing is now he is really laughing, like little gut laughs. Since 8 weeks he has been fighting a cold. So this month we have went to Dr. Halden 2 times for the cold. He weighed in at 16 pounds this past week. He is on his second antibiotic and is sounding better.
And although our little man is only 3 months old he is now wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothing! Only a few 6 month outfits don't fit due to long legs and arms! He loves for you to sing to him, and each day has a long talks with me and/or Jared. He has had some cute notes from school ( one holding a girl's hand while sitting in the bumbo, and having some chat time with a classmate while in the bumbo).
And we have continued the weekly pictures, which I am sure many of you have seen via FB. So here are the 9 week to 13 weeks ( 3 months) pictures!
Louis had fun little facts for his 13 week and 3 month old days. On 11-10-11 he was 13 weeks ( length of boot camp for USMC) and it was the USMC Birthday ( his pawpaw and daddy are Marines). Then he turned 3 months on 11-11-11 which was Veteran's Day!
We continue to read when we can to him at night. I will admit this month wasn't as good as last month, but I did get some books in for him! He got some books and 2 bibles for his Baptism so we have those to start over the next month. Anyway, here are the books we covered this month:
by Kate Toms
He always laughs at this one. He laughs when we say LULU and the page that has the pigs on it!
Lastly, Louis was Baptized this month on 10-29-11. His Godmother is Becky Christofferson and his Godfather is Blake Broussard. We had a really nice visit home and the Baptism and after party were wonderful. Only Pawpaw Danny could not make the festivities due to be hospitalized for some unknown internal bleeding. But we did go see him at the hospital the next day! Louis slept throughout the whole mass, and took a bottle through most of the Baptism. He was a good baby and didn't cry! Father Cleo said the all the babies were good that day! For the trip home I bought Louis a travel swing. I had got it at Mr. Target at a closeout price of 45 dollars. It has been well used since the purchase! Louis loves to swing and how he likes to go to sleep at times, and I think helps him after a long day of playing pass da baby!
Here are a few of the Baptism Day shots. You can see them all in the FB albums I will list below. I had to take separate nice pictures of him in his outfit because we forgot to do it the day of with all the excitement! The shall was part of my wedding dress!
3 Months Part one
3 Months Part Two
In closing, Louis stayed awake the longest for the LSU VS Alabama game than any other game thus far in his life. Sorry for the long post, but it's been a busy month! Mama even got her new FT job at the end of the month!
